Dear Members, It is with deep sadness that we announce the loss of a beloved member. It was recently discovered that Bandit's Mama  was amongst those
lost in the WTC tragedies of 9-11. For this announcement, we asked Tidbit to say a few words: The tragic events of September 11, 2001 affected people everywhere and although I mourned the loss of thousands with the rest of the world, I considered myself blessed not to have a friend or loved one die in the tragedy. I breathed a sigh of relief to know my extended family here at Stories.Com had all survived. That is, until a few days ago. I met Bandit's Mama a day or two after joining Stories.Com.
She was sweet, supportive and always willing to help in any way she could. She encouraged me on more than one occassion with her words of wisdom and gentle nature. For those of you that never knew her, she was truly a wonderful woman. I consider myself lucky to have known her the few months I did. Stories.Com lost a special friend and author in the terrorist tragedy. Sandy will be missed by us all, even those that never knew her. Stories.Com is a real community and as such, we must deal with death as well as life. We celebrate together and mourn together, take the good with the bad. To honor the memory of authors who have passed, Stories.Com has created a new portfolio level with a simple but beautiful white case. This serves as an everlasting tribute. Please join me in remembering Sandy, a cherished friend and author of Stories.Com. When you have a minute, read a few of her items. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. yesnomaybe
